A sandy west-coast bay framed by granite rocks, just north of Cobo and popular for high-water swimming and sunsets.

These predictions use St Peter Port, Guernsey’s standard reference port. Local timing and conditions at Grandes Rocques can vary slightly with weather and coastal geography. Times are shown in local Guernsey time.
Grandes Rocques, also known as Saline Bay, is a sandy beach framed and divided by prominent granite outcrops. The bay lies immediately north of Cobo and is a popular place for family visits, high-water swimming and west-coast sunsets.
Grandes Rocques Beach Kiosk sits beside the bay, with public toilets and free parking nearby. The main beach access beside the kiosk includes steps down to very soft sand and is not step-free.
At lower water, more sand and rocky foreshore are exposed. Around higher water the sea is closer to the beach entrance and the bay is popular with swimmers, but many rocks become partly or fully submerged. Enter the water carefully and do not use the predicted tide height as a measure of depth over individual rocks. Never dive or jump into unfamiliar water.
